Ski touring
We meet at 9am in Aussois where you will meet your group and guide: welcome, briefing and equipment check.
Once the equipment has been checked, we'll take a chairlift to the Dent Parrachée hut (2515 m) to get back to the pristine valleys as quickly as possible. The Dent Parraché hut is a magnificent refuge where it's advisable to take your swimming costume for the sauna.
The raid has begun! We cross the Col de Labby (3324m) over the great Mahure glacier to reach the Arpont hut (2310m) where we spend our 2nd evening and night.
After waking up early at the Arpont refuge, we climb towards the Chasseforêt dome (3586 m) and begin to cross the Vanoise glaciers, finally arriving at the Entre Deux Eaux refuge (2122 m) for our 3rd night.
Today we climb up the wild Rocheure valley to the Col du Pisset before descending to the Refuge du Fond des Fours (2532 m) where we spend our 4th night.
To reach the Carro refuge (2759 m), we have to cross two passes: the Col des Fours and the Col de l'Ouille.
We reach a magnificent Alpine plateau lost in the middle of the mountains: the Evettes plateau. We'll be staying at the Evettes refuge (2590 m).
On the last day, we climb the Albaron: one of the highest peaks in the region, offering incredible views of the Mont Blanc massif and the Écrins. We finish by abseiling back to the Grand Fond glacier, from where we descend to Bessans.
Clément, aka Clémentar from his nickname, is the high mountain guide who will accompany you during your stay. Born in Grenoble but living in Haute Maurienne for many years, he knows the mountains of his region like the back of his hand. What drives him? Passing on his passion for mountaineering and climbing by taking you on a discovery tour of the glaciers and summits.
