We’ll meet at 3:30 PM in the parking lot next to Fablab Leuven, where Mathias, your guide, will give you a safety briefing and hand out your packraft gear — all neatly packed into a lightweight backpack.
The adventure kicks off on foot with a 7 km hike through the Dyle valley, home to a thriving population of active beavers. Along the way, we’ll climb a few observation towers to scan the landscape for signs of wildlife and enjoy sweeping views of the valley.
At Korbeek-Dijle, it's time to inflate the packrafts and take to the water. From this unique perspective, you’ll paddle silently through the heart of beaver territory — keeping your eyes peeled for dams, gnawed trunks, and footprints left along the riverbanks.
We’ll land near the Château d'Arenberg, then return on foot to the starting point to collect the cars.
Estimated end time: 9:30 PM
