Not sure which discipline suits you? Answer a few questions, discover your level and get Wildhartt expedition ideas matched to your wishes and fitness.
Hiking, trekking, snowshoeing, ski touring, mountaineering, trail running or canoeing: every Wildhartt expedition is led by guides, but each one asks for a specific level. The level quiz helps you assess your level in a few minutes and pick an expedition that truly fits you, neither too easy nor too demanding.
You answer a few questions about your sports practice, your fitness, your mountain experience and what you want to do. Your level is placed on a four-step scale: Discovery, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. At the end you see the disciplines that suit you and a selection of bookable expeditions, ranked by how close they are to your level.
The level of an expedition does not depend on distance alone. It combines elevation gain, daily time on your feet, the type of terrain, altitude, the weight of your pack and technical commitment (rope, crampons, exposed sections). That is why you can be comfortable on an easy trek and still need to progress before a mountaineering trip.
You can run regularly and never have slept in a mountain hut, or know the mountains well and be short of breath. The quiz looks at both. When something in your profile deserves a conversation, we tell you and suggest talking to the team.
No. There are expeditions for people who exercise little: the Discovery level means accessible outings with short days and little climbing. The quiz tells you from which level you can book with confidence.
It is not a closed door. You can look at expeditions one step below, prepare with a few outings, or contact the team, who will advise you based on your profile.
A few minutes. Your result is a guide to choose well, it does not replace a doctor's advice if you have any doubt about your health.
