We'll meet up at 8.30am in Les Houches to meet the group and guide. After a briefing, we'll take the Bellevue cable car, which will give us an unobstructed view of the Mont Blanc massif, the Aiguilles Rouges and the Fiz. The route gets off to a gentle start before leaving the Chamonix valley for the Val Montjoie.
Between forests and mountain pastures, the walk is gradual and pleasant, ideal for warming up. We reach the village of Les Contamines at the end of the day.
In the evening, we meet for a convivial dinner at the hotel. It's a chance to get to know each other, catch up on the day's activities and enjoy a simple meal together. Depending on the mood, some people may like to extend the evening with a game of cards or a drink. Overnight stay.
We start from Notre-Dame de la Gorge and its Baroque church, emblematic of the region. The climb progresses gradually to the Col du Bonhomme, then the Col de la Croix du Bonhomme. We leave the Val Montjoie and enter the Beaufortain, known for its open landscapes and its distinctive cheeses. The descent takes us into the wilder valley of Les Chapieux.
At the end of the day, we settle into our accommodation. Dinner is served together, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It's often a highlight of the trip: we share the day's anecdotes and taste the local specialities. Night on site.
We head for the Col de la Seigne, the natural border between France and Italy. The panorama opens out onto the south face of the Mont-Blanc massif, with its glaciers and striking peaks. The descent then takes you down to Val Veny and on to Courmayeur.
Arriving in Italy, the atmosphere changes slightly: we have a free moment to wander around the village. In the evening, we share a dinner at the hotel, often accompanied by Italian specialities. The atmosphere remains friendly, with lively discussions and quieter moments as the mood takes us. Night at the hotel.
From Arnuva, in the Italian Val Ferret, we climb gradually towards the Grand Col Ferret, on the Swiss border. The landscape becomes more open, with large mountain pastures and views of peaks such as Dolent. We then descend to La Fouly before transferring to Champex, a peaceful lakeside village.
The evening is spent at the hotel, in a calmer atmosphere. We have dinner together and then everyone can enjoy the surroundings: a stroll around the lake, a moment to relax or simply a chat over a drink. Night in Champex.

Hi, I'm August, and I've been guiding in the far north of Norway for over 8 years. Skiing in front of the sea, under the northern lights, or simply enjoying nature, that's what makes me tick. Guiding is above all about sharing my passion and helping you discover places that are close to my heart, in a safe environment. Experiencing exceptional moments in the great outdoors is my raison d'être, and that's what I promise you when I accompany you.
⚠️ For this expedition, August may be replaced by another equally experienced guide, depending on availability. All our guides speak English, and many of them also speak French, to ensure you have an equally rewarding experience.
Here's how to get to Chamonix by train:
It is also possible to travel to Chamonix by Flixbus from all major Belgian and French cities.
You can get to Chamonix by car, where you can park your car for free in the car park at the meeting point.
If you don't have a car, you should know that we're encouraging car-pooling between participants by creating a WhatsApp group 15 days before departure: an opportunity to get to know each other before you even start your expedition!

At Wildhartt, nature is our playground, rain or shine. Rain, snow or wind: our guides adapt the itinerary, activities and accommodation to guarantee you the best possible experience.
Unless safety is at stake (storm, avalanche, flood...).
In this exceptional case, we can cancel an expedition, at least one week before departure.
If this happens:
→ You can postpone your adventure at no cost,
→ Or receive a full refund.
You don’t need to be a top athlete or adventure expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.
Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.
They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.
If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.
At Wildhartt, transparency is essential. The price of your expedition reflects a clear breakdown of costs:
Our priority: to offer you a quality experience, with complete clarity.
