Passionate and committed to teaching, I’m an experienced Belgian skipper with more than 20,000 nautical miles sailed across the world’s oceans. As the owner and captain of Gaïa, a 16-metre expedition sailboat, I place knowledge-sharing and safety at the heart of my work. My RYA Yachtmaster Offshore qualification allows me to lead your sailing with the professional rigour it deserves. My career has taken me from crossings of the South Atlantic to the technical waters of Corsica and French Polynesia, giving me a broad perspective on the sea. With my engineering training (MCA AEC 1), I can support you both in manoeuvres and in understanding the boat’s technical systems.

I’m used to training novice sailors, including during deliveries where I’ve helped owners get to know their new vessel. I use modern navigation tools and teach you how to anticipate and plan your routes effectively. My experience on a wide variety of boats, from 60-foot catamarans to superyachts, allows me to adapt to every type of vessel.

Fluent in French, English and Spanish, I make sure every exchange is clear and instructive. My aim is to turn every mile sailed into a practical step in your learning, in a safe and enthusiastic setting.
