Mountain Climbing
We meet up at 6pm at our bed and breakfast in La Palud sur Verdon, where we settle in and enjoy a meal together.
Breakfast and packing for the day: After a briefing on the days ahead, we choose our first site based on the weather conditions. Once we've packed our bags, we're off to a crag in the hinterland, an ideal place to get off to a gentle start.
This first day is devoted to discovering rock-climbing techniques. Everyone has a chance to test their skills while getting to know the other members of the group.
At the end of the afternoon, we return quietly to our guest room for a well-deserved moment of relaxation, and enjoy the local cuisine prepared by the on-site chef.
After breakfast, we set off for the viewpoints of the Gorges du Verdon. From these vantage points, we'll discover the immensity of the walls together, while listening to stories about the historic routes that have made this region famous among climbers from all over the world.
The afternoon is devoted to climbing single pitches on the edge of the gorge. This is an ideal opportunity to get used to the height and unique sensations of cliff climbing, while enjoying the safety offered by accessible routes.
We return in the afternoon to enjoy some free time. Dinner and evening in our guest room.
Today, we're heading for the beginning of the Gorges, to the Couloir Samson to be precise. After a car transfer, the adventure begins in earnest with a traverse of the Verdon on a suspended cable, followed by a short via ferrata that takes us to the Hulk cave, an exceptional climbing site with rock renowned for its quality.
The day is dedicated to climbing in this unique setting, where everyone can test their limits and hone their technique. For those who wish, a refreshing swim in the river is possible on the way back, a welcome moment of relaxation after the effort.
Dinner and evening in our guest room.
After breakfast, we set off for another crag, selected according to the day's conditions. This day is all about perfecting your climbing technique and progress.
Whether you want to improve your placements or simply enjoy the vertical, this session is designed to help you achieve your personal goals. We'll have a picnic on site, as on previous days, enjoying the shade and breathtaking views of the gorges.
On our last day, we leave the ropes and harnesses behind for a hike on the famous Martel trail, one of the most beautiful trekking routes in the Gorges du Verdon.
This trail takes us up close and personal to the great rock faces that have forged the legend of climbing in this region. Along the way, we'll discover the legendary routes taken by the greatest climbers and enjoy breathtaking panoramas.
After a morning of exploration, we return to our guest room and it's already time to say goodbye, our eyes full of memories and our hearts full of adventure.
