    • Accommodation - Mountain hutAccommodation·Mountain hut
    • D+ - 1356D+·1356m
    • Activity time - 6hActivity time·6h

We meet at 9am in Zinal to get to know our guide and make any final adjustments to our equipment. We then begin the ascent to the Arpitettaz hut, following an initially gentle path through the Val d'Anniviers mountain pastures.

The route runs alongside the River Navizence, then rises to the Pas du Chasseur, a section equipped with a cable (via ferrata) requiring agility and concentration, perfect for getting to grips with mountain supports.

After this fun section, the climb continues via the Zinal waterfall, where a break is in order. The terrain becomes more mineral as we approach Lac d'Arpitettaz, and it's in a high mountain atmosphere that we finally reach our Mountain hut, isolated opposite the Blanc de Moming glaciers. Settle in, rest up and enjoy a mountain-style dinner to help you recover.

Everything was perfectly planned and the people who work here are very flexible with arrival time.

What kind of people usually join Wildhartt expeditions ?

You don’t need to be a top athlete or adventure expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.

Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.

They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.

If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.
