Frequently asked questions

Where would I sleep?

Nights are spent in a tent, in the heart of nature, with the sky full of stars as your only roof. Far from artificial lights, the experience offers total immersion in the tranquillity of the place.

Do you provide waterproof bags to keep our belongings dry?

Yes, we provide you with waterproof bags that will protect all your belongings. They'll keep your stuff dry all day long.

How does the on-board meal service work?

Each participant pays a pre-determined amount into the on-board fund. This allows food expenses to be pooled. The guide uses this fund to buy all the provisions needed, taking into account the dietary preferences and logistical constraints of each day. During the expedition, the guide takes charge of preparing the meals. Thanks to this system, all meals are organised and prepared without you having to worry about them, allowing you to enjoy your adventure to the full.

What equipment do we need?

Once your registration has been confirmed, we'll send you a personalised roadbook for your trip containing all the practical information you need, including a list of equipment you'll need to take.

What equipment is included in the package?

For your expedition, the guide will provide you with all the equipment you need for a comfortable and safe adventure, both for navigation and bivouac. Navigation: You will be equipped with everything you need to paddle with complete peace of mind. The guide will provide paddles, protective skirts to limit water infiltration, and buoyancy jackets to ensure your safety. You'll be sailing on rigid sea kayaks that are perfectly suited to conditions in the marine environment. Waterproof bags will also be available to protect your personal belongings from the damp. Finally, full safety equipment is also provided to deal with any emergency situations. For the bivouac: Equipment for rest periods is also provided. The guide will bring a stove and everything you need to prepare meals in the open air. A communal tent will be set up to share moments of conviviality as a group. In addition, trekking tents are provided for those who do not have their own sleeping equipment, so that everyone can sleep comfortably.

⛈ What happens if the metreo is wrong?

If the weather is bad but does not represent a danger to participants during the expedition, the activity will continue. If the weather becomes dangerous, the activity will be cancelled and replaced by an alternative offered by our professional guides.

What is included in the price of a DiscoveRent shipment?

At Wildhartt, we attach particular importance to price transparency for our shipments. Our approach is based on a clear breakdown of costs, aimed at providing a better understanding of the elements included in the total amount. Here's how we allocate the percentages:

  • 30% for our guides: We believe that our experienced guides play a crucial role in the success of each activity. That's why we make sure we allocate a significant proportion to pay for their expertise and supervision.
  • 35% for accommodation and food: We consider comfortable accommodation and quality food to be essential elements of an enriching experience.
  • 10% for equipment and transport: The safety and comfort of our participants is paramount. With this part of the total amount, we can guarantee that the equipment required is in excellent condition and adequate for each activity. Transport costs also come into play when they are essential during an expedition.
  • 25% for expedition participation and running costs: These costs cover the logistical, administrative and organisational aspects of the expedition, as well as the overall management of the experience, from start to finish.

Our aim is to provide you with a trustworthy, high-quality experience, while being transparent about how the final cost of your shipment is shared. If you have any further questions about our prices, please contact us here.
