We'll meet at Tromsø airport where your guide will meet you. Once the group is reunited, we'll hit the road to settle into the hotel, have a briefing on the week with your guide and enjoy a free evening to explore the town. Tromsø is a charming Arctic city surrounded by mountains and fjords. For meals, there are several restaurants in the centre where you can sample the local specialities.

After breakfast, we depart by minibus for the island of Senja, stopping off at Finnsnes to stretch our legs. A short snowshoe hike on the heights offers a first glimpse of the snow-covered northern landscape.

At the end of the afternoon, we arrive at our Norwegian lodge, where we'll be staying for the week, a cosy accommodation situated on the edge of the fjord, between the mountains and the sea. In the evening, we all enjoy the communal lounge and the comfort of our chalets. It's a relaxing first evening as we settle in and get to know each other over a meal prepared collectively.

After breakfast at the lodge, we'll attempt the ascent of Flobjørn, an emblematic peak in the area. The effort is gradual and steady, punctuated by breaks to take in the spectacular panoramas of the frozen fjords and the Senja landscape.

At the end of the day, it's back to the lodge for a quiet evening with a good meal and perhaps the opportunity to go hunting for the Northern Lights once night has fallen.

This day will take you to one of Senja's most famous sites: the Segla. We won't be climbing this technical peak in winter, but will be reaching the Hesten, a natural lookout point offering the best view of the Segla and its impressive cliffs. A short but memorable hike, with plenty of memories to savour.

The last evening at the lodge is an opportunity to share a convivial moment with the group over a fine dinner. There's also the option of a final hot bath or an evening by the fire.

We leave Senja and head for Tromsø. On the way, we stop off on the island of Sommarøy, famous for its Arctic beaches and small fishing villages. A final snowshoe hike brings this wonderful adventure to a gentle close.

When you arrive in Tromsø, you'll have the evening off to enjoy a meal in a Meals restaurant or a stroll along the harbour, a chance to reflect on the highlights of the week.

If this happens:
→ You can postpone your adventure at no cost,
→ Or receive a full refund.

What kind of people usually join Wildhartt expeditions ?

You don’t need to be a top athlete or mountain expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.

Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.

They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.

If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.
