Itinerary

DAY 1 / 8

Arrive late afternoon at Tromsø airport, where our guide will give you a warm welcome. After an initial briefing and presentation of the programme, we'll head off to Senja, where we'll settle into our lodge by the sea.

This first evening is dedicated to getting to know the group over a convivial dinner, ideal for getting to know each other and sharing our enthusiasm for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2 / 8

After a hearty breakfast, we're off for our first ski outing. Depending on the conditions and the motivation of the group, we could aim for Keipen, a summit offering exceptional panoramic views of the fjords, or Sukkertoppen, a gentler but equally spectacular climb.

The day begins with a gear check, followed by a gradual hike where our guide adjusts the pace according to each person's ability. At the end of the afternoon, we return to the lodge for a well-deserved dinner and, if the skies are clear, a session of Northern Lights watching.

DAY 3 / 8

Today, weather permitting, we could take a boat to Litje Moa, a remote and wild area accessible by sea. Alternatively, we could travel there by mini-bus.

This spot offers gentle slopes ideal for perfecting our ski touring techniques and enjoying the immaculate scenery. After this exploration, we return to the lodge for dinner and a moment to relax in the outdoor Canadian bath, perfect for soothing the muscles after an intense day.

DAY 4 / 8

Today, we're aiming for Kvænan, an emblematic summit in Senja, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Depending on the conditions, our guide will choose a route suited to the group, allowing the more experienced climbers to tackle a steeper slope with Nacho, while beginners can follow a more accessible route with Sylvain.

After the ascent and a lunch break at altitude, we'll make our way back down, enjoying the fresh snow. In the evening, dinner at the lodge and, for those who wish, a traditional sauna to relax in.

DAY 5 / 8

After several days of skiing, this day is dedicated to discovering the culture of Senja. We explore some of the island's villages, where we learn about local customs and meet the locals.

We'll also take the opportunity to discover the Nordic way of life, with fishing and crafts. The afternoon is free for those who wish to rest at the lodge or go exploring. Return to the lodge at the end of the day for a convivial dinner.

DAY 6 / 8

Today, we're heading for Store Hesten, a summit known for its spectacular terrain and challenging descents.

Depending on the snow conditions and the level of the group, our guide will suggest different routes to suit everyone's abilities. The ascent is gradual and offers breathtaking views of the rugged Senja coastline. Return to the lodge at the end of the afternoon for a Canadian bath and an evening of sharing around the fire.

DAY 7 / 8

On this last day of skiing, we set off on a hike to discover new panoramas. The guide will choose a route according to the conditions and the energy of the group, with the option of climbing a summit or taking advantage of gentler slopes to finish in style.

At the end of the day, we return to the lodge for a final dinner, where we will look back on the best moments of the trip before our departure the next day.

DAY 8 / 8

After a final shared breakfast, we set off again for Tromsø. The journey offers an opportunity to relive the highlights of our stay and to say goodbye to these exceptional surroundings. Arrival at Tromsø airport in the late morning for the end of the expedition.

As a child of the Pyrenees, skiing has been my passion ever since I took my first steps. In freeride competitions, I've explored the world's mountain ranges, from the Andes to Siberia, in search of the beauty of the mountains. At the same time, my engineering studies took me to Grenoble, where I specialised in rockfalls and avalanches. In 2020, my dream came true: I started training to become a high mountain guide at ENSA in Chamonix.

What is included in the price of a DiscoveRent shipment?

At Wildhartt, we attach particular importance to price transparency for our shipments. Our approach is based on a clear breakdown of costs, aimed at providing a better understanding of the elements included in the total amount. Here's how we allocate the percentages:

  • 30% for our guides: We believe that our experienced guides play a crucial role in the success of each activity. That's why we make sure we allocate a significant proportion to pay for their expertise and supervision.
  • 35% for accommodation and food: We consider comfortable accommodation and quality food to be essential elements of an enriching experience.
  • 10% for equipment and transport: The safety and comfort of our participants is paramount. With this part of the total amount, we can guarantee that the equipment required is in excellent condition and adequate for each activity. Transport costs also come into play when they are essential during an expedition.
  • 25% for expedition participation and running costs: These costs cover the logistical, administrative and organisational aspects of the expedition, as well as the overall management of the experience, from start to finish.

Our aim is to provide you with a trustworthy, high-quality experience, while being transparent about how the final cost of your shipment is shared. If you have any further questions about our prices, please contact us here.
