We meet at the gîte at 5pm. We'll welcome the group, allocate rooms and settle in to the gîte, which offers comfortable accommodation in a Provençal village and is the base for our outings through the vineyards and nearby paths.
Warm-up jog (approx. 1 hour): gentle outing at sunset through the vineyards to warm up the legs, find the terrain and set the group's pace.
Friendly dinner at the gîte: a shared meal and a chance to catch up and build team spirit. Technical briefing: detailed presentation of the weekend, update on tomorrow's Ventoux trail, advice on equipment and nutrition, individual bag checks and safety instructions.
The aim is to settle in calmly, warm up lightly and build solidarity within the group. We end the evening with a final weather review and get ready for tomorrow's ascent.
We set off early from Bédoin (495 m) for the ascent of Mont Ventoux (1,909 m), progressing through the forest and then over the mineral and lunar terrain to the summit, with a 360° view of the Alps, the Mediterranean and Provence.
The ascent is the main effort of the weekend: learning the techniques of a long, steady climb, managing the effort and pace of the group, working on self-sufficiency in the mountains. The descent is over stony terrain: we work on positioning our footing, saving energy on the descent and reading the terrain.
Back to the gîte for a refreshing lunch, then free time (swimming pool, rest, siesta or gentle stroll around Malaucène) as you wish.
In the late afternoon, we visit a wine estate. Visit the vineyards and cellar, learn about the local viticulture and enjoy a tasting session with the winemaker. Settle in and enjoy dinner at the gîte, a time for socialising and practical preparation for the rest of your stay.
We're off on a technical route through the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail, a limestone massif with jagged ridges and rocky valleys, with plunging views over the Gigondas and Vacqueyras vineyards.
The terrain varies: steep climbs, rocky sections and technical descents, a short but intense format to consolidate what you learnt the day before. We work on our footing on the rocks, reading the limestone and managing the pace of the group, while practising navigation on the ridges and in the combes.
At the end of the morning, we return to the gîte for a shower and to pack up, with time to talk about the outing. A convivial closing lunch at the gîte: review of the weekend, sharing of progress, impressions of the trails and wines discovered, and a group photo.
We finish in a relaxed atmosphere; departure from the gîte scheduled between 2.30 and 3pm.

You don’t need to be a top athlete or adventure expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.
Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.
They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.
If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.
At Wildhartt, transparency is essential. The price of your expedition reflects a clear breakdown of costs:
Our priority: to offer you a quality experience, with complete clarity.
