Meet us at 5 p.m. in Cassino, where we'll pick you up. When you arrive, take time to settle in and discover the place: a haven of peace nestled in the heart of the valley, surrounded by nature. In the afternoon, we'll gather for an opening ceremony, with guided meditation, visualisation and an initial gentle yoga session to set your intentions for the retreat.

We'll then share an opening circle to get to know each other in a caring environment, followed by a home-cooked welcome dinner, to be enjoyed outdoors weather permitting.

After an energising morning yoga practice, followed by breakfast, we'll set off to explore the Gole di Melfa, an ancient mule track cut into the rock, now abandoned, between forest and river. It's a great way to immerse yourself in the valley's past, on the Tracciolino trail.

Lunch will be taken on the way back to the house or on the trail, depending on how far the group has progressed. The afternoon is free for reading, a stroll through the village, a moment of diary writing in a local café, or an optional massage. At the end of the day, a gentle or Meals practice will loosen up the body.

After our morning yoga session, we'll set off on a day hike in the Valle Lattara, following signposted trails (route 666) through the heart of the region's mountainous landscapes.

A picnic lunch will be served on the higher ground. The more motivated can extend the loop with a more challenging route (+5 km / +410 m D+).

In the evening, a yin yoga session followed by a yoga nidra will give you a chance to recover both physically and mentally.

We start the day with a gentle yoga session, before hiking through the medieval villages of Alvito and Vicalvi, with their perched castles overlooking the valley.

The walk ends at Posta Fibreno, a small paradise surrounded by a lake of pure water. Lunch by the water, followed by a guided meditation after lunch and some free time: if you feel like it, you can immerse yourself in the river for a revitalising experience in the form of a natural ice bath.

The day closes with our final evening yoga practice, gentle and grounding.

DAY 5 / 5
Sessions
yoga & meditation

On this last morning together, a final yoga session will be dedicated to gratitude and integrating the experience. We'll then take time to close the retreat in a circle, to share our feelings and say a gentle goodbye.

Breakfast will mark the end of this rejuvenating stay in the Valle di Comino.

Distances, gradients and times are given as a guide only. The programme may be adapted according to the weather, the wishes of the group or local conditions.

After a few years in the corporate world, I decided to move to the mountains for a simpler, more aligned life. Based in a wild valley in the Apennines, I organise holidays that combine hiking, nature and reconnection. I know these mountains like the back of my hand, and I love helping people discover their raw beauty. My aim: to offer a real break. Walking, breathing, rediscovering a taste for the simple things in life.

Frequently asked questions

What type of room is available? Is it shared or single?

You'll be welcomed into a warm, authentic guest house nestling in the hills of the Valle di Comino. Rooms are shared (2 to 4 people), with all the comforts you need for a deep rest after a day in nature. If you prefer a more intimate space, single room options are available, subject to availability (on request).

How do I organise my journey to Cassino?

Cassino is accessible by train from Rome (about 1h30 journey). We advise you to arrive by train: it's already part of the experience: slow down, observe, disconnect. If you're coming from further afield, you can land in Rome (Ciampino or Fiumicino) or Naples, then continue by train to Cassino. We'll pick you up and take you to our perched house. And if you have any doubts, we'll be delighted to help you organise your itinerary.

What style of yoga is practised?

The retreat is guided by a deeply holistic approach to Hatha yoga, combining gentleness, vital energy and inner listening. Each session is unique: guided meditation, pranayama, gentle yoga in the morning, yin and nidra in the evening to integrate the experiences of the day. For a return to yourself, to the breath and to nature.

How many yoga sessions are there a day?

On average, two sessions a day accompany you on this inner journey: one in the morning to gently awaken the body and set the day's intention, and one in the late afternoon to relax, integrate and return to the essentials. The rhythm always respects your energy of the moment, without pressure.

What should I pack in my suitcase?

Make sure you have comfortable clothes for yoga, well-tried hiking boots, a swimming costume for a wild plunge, a water bottle, a headlamp and a small rucksack for the walks. When you register, you'll receive a comprehensive list of things to pack.

Are instalment payment options available?

Yes, that's right! At checkout, you can choose the Alma option to pay for your booking in 2x, 3x or 4x. All you have to do is select Alma at checkout and follow the instructions. It's simple, fast and secure.
