Craving a true Nordic traverse at a steady, low impact pace? Our guided snowshoe trips put a pulka behind you and winter bivouacs ahead of you. Each evening we pitch tents or a roomy tipi, melt snow on the stove and settle into the hush of wide plateaus, moving as a close knit group led by a professional who knows these ranges by heart.
On the menu, four days in some of the Alps and Jura’s finest winter terrain. Cross the Vercors for sweeping views of Mont Aiguille and Grand Veymont, with nights under a tipi inside the Hauts Plateaux Reserve. Ring in New Year in the Cerces Mont Thabor range with a snow camp and a climb toward Roche Olvéra at about 2700 meters. Or head to Switzerland for a deep dive into the wild Jura, from forested ridges to quiet combes and fresh animal tracks. A second Cerces departure follows the same formula, a full pulka based immersion under canvas.
All itineraries are advanced and run in small groups with mobile camps and pulkas. You will learn solid winter camp craft, adjust your layers and pace, and enjoy clear skies and changeable snow from December to March depending on the trip. Everything is set so you can focus on the essentials, walking, sharing and wonder, on truly guided snowshoe trips.
