Enjoy a complete immersion experience with your host-mushers in their Swedish chalets lost in the heart of the forest. There, you'll share their daily lives, their love of dogs, and enjoy a warm welcome (and delicious home-cooked food!).
Throughout the week, let yourself be enchanted by the spectacle of the Northern Lights. From your chalet, isolated from all light pollution, watch the sky light up with green and violet veils, in a magical atmosphere.

Frequently asked questions

Will I have to cook on site?

No, food preparation is included and will be lovingly prepared by Fred and Elsa, the chalet owners.

Do you need to be in any particular physical condition to take part?

This holiday has been specially designed to be accessible to everyone. All you need is a normal level of fitness, and the activities are suitable for everyone, with experienced guides to accompany you.

Is the holiday suitable for children?

Yes, from the age of 6, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

How do I get to the meeting place?

You can get to Arvidsjaur by plane, but also by train! If you'd like to come by train, we can put you in direct contact with our partner who will take care of booking and organising the train journey to Arvidsjaur.

Can you see the Northern Lights?

Yes, it's quite possible to see the Northern Lights during your stay, and the good news is that the whole winter season lends itself to it. In December, the days are very short, making for long nights that are ideal for observing them. In January and February, the nights remain long and the colder temperatures often favour dry, stable weather, which can provide good conditions for observing clear skies. In March, the days get longer but the skies are often clearer, which also increases the chances of visibility. That said, the Northern Lights remain a natural and unpredictable phenomenon: they can never be guaranteed. But if the conditions are right, it is entirely possible to see them, and the experience can be magical.

What time does the shuttle pick us up in Arvidsjaur on the first day?

The shuttle picks up all the participants at the same time, so we can all start the adventure together. The timetable is set according to everyone's arrivals: we always adapt to the last participant to land in Arvidsjaur. In concrete terms, the departure is in the late afternoon at the earliest, once everyone has arrived. You will, of course, receive the precise timetable a few days before departure.

What time does the shuttle take us back to Arvidsjaur on the last day?

The shuttle bus will take you all back to Arvidsjaur on the last day in the morning, after breakfast. We organise the return journey so that everyone can get off safely, taking into account participants' departure times, so you'll be back in Arvidsjaur by late morning.

How comfortable are the rooms?

The chalet has two areas: a large bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200) and a bunk bed (2 beds 90 x 200), and a separate mezzanine bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200). The chalet is designed to sleep up to 6 people.

How comfortable is your home?

The chalet is built entirely of wood, offering warmth and cosiness. It is heated by a wood or pellet stove, which travellers supply themselves, and is powered by solar panels supplemented by a generator. There is no running electricity, which contributes to the immersive, disconnected experience. The chalet has an environmentally-friendly bathroom, with an outdoor dry toilet. From the terrace, you can watch the Northern Lights, listen to the silence of the forest and enjoy the camp's outdoor sauna after your days of adventure.

Are instalment payment options available?

Yes, that's right! At checkout, you can choose the Alma option to pay for your booking in 2x, 3x or 4x. All you have to do is select Alma at checkout and follow the instructions. It's simple, fast and secure.

Can I privatise this expedition for my group?

Yes, all our expeditions can be privatised for a group already formed, on the dates of your choice.

To make your request, go to the expedition that interests you and click on "Privatise the expedition". We'll take care of the rest!

What happens if the weather is bad?

At Wildhartt, nature is our playground, rain or shine. Rain, snow or wind: our guides adapt the itinerary, activities and accommodation to guarantee you the best possible experience.
Unless safety is at stake (storm, avalanche, flood...).

In this exceptional case, we can cancel an expedition, at least one week before departure.
If this happens:
→ You can postpone your adventure at no cost,
→ Or receive a full refund.

What kind of people usually join Wildhartt expeditions ?

You don’t need to be a top athlete or adventure expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.

Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.

They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.

If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.

What does the price of a Wildhartt adventure include?

At Wildhartt, transparency is essential. The price of your expedition reflects a clear breakdown of costs:

  • 30% for our guides, the mainstays of every adventure.
  • 35% for accommodation and meals, essential for your comfort.
  • 10% for equipment and transport, to guarantee safety and fluidity.
  • 25% for organisation and logistics, from first contact to the end of the expedition.
  • 1% for the rewilding of Europe, a concrete commitment to give back to nature what it gives us.

Our priority: to offer you a quality experience, with complete clarity.
