What you will experience

Climb the shaded cliffs of Roche Haut, on the shores of Lake Serre-Ponçon, with routes suited to all levels.
Paddle a packraft in the waters of Serre-Ponçon, one of Europe's largest artificial lakes, watching the cliffs plunge into the water.
Discover aquarando in a wild stretch of the Ubaye: swimming, optional jumps, gorges and natural pools.
Round off the adventure with a climb at sunset at Roche Haut, with a bird’s-eye view of the lake’s turquoise waters.

    Meet at 10.00 am at the car park at the Roche Haut climbing site.


    The morning will be spent climbing on a shaded cliff by the lake, offering routes for all levels. Ideal for beginners or those looking to improve their skills in a natural setting, with guiding and equipment provided.
    At lunchtime, we’ll head to the lakeside for a picnic (swimming is possible).


    In the afternoon, we’ll inflate the packrafts for a short river trip, ending up on Lake Serre-Ponçon. The aim is to get to grips with handling the craft and learning basic techniques, in preparation for river trips.


    Return at the end of the day to the Méolans guesthouse for dinner and the night.

What's included in the price

Included

Supervision: During these 4 days you will be accompanied by two experienced and passionate guides.
Accommodation: You will sleep for 3 nights in a shared room (single beds) in a comfortable, family-run gîte.
Catering: All meals from the first evening to the last lunch.
Equipment: All the equipment needed for the various activities: packraft, water trekking, climbing.

Not included

Transport to the meeting point.
Local transport between the gîte and the activity sites.
Personal expenses (snacks, drinks, etc.)
The picnic on the first day is not included.

What level should you expect

You should be at least 18 years old to participate
WHO IS IT FOR?
Do you want to experience an accessible multi-sport adventure, combining packrafting, climbing and aquarando?

You’re at the right level if:
  • You practise an endurance sport at least twice a week on a regular basis
  • No prior climbing experience is required: there’s something for everyone!
  • You’re comfortable in a variety of environments (water, heights, simple technical terrain)
  • You can swim, but no previous packrafting experience is required
  • You’re able to carry a rucksack weighing around 8kg during daily activities

  • Departure station > Gap station
  • Then take a bus to Le Lauzet

You'll arrive at Le Lauzet, close to the expedition's meeting point.

Free car parks are available at the meeting point where you can leave your vehicle for the whole duration of the expedition.

Do consider carpooling: a WhatsApp group will be set up 10 days before departure so you can organise this with the other participants.

  • If the minimum number of participants is reached, departure is confirmed!
  • If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we will give you a full refund.
Departure is confirmed 15 days in advance for adventures lasting more than 4 days. Departure is confirmed 7 days prior for adventures lasting less than 4 days.

How are meals organised during your stay?

Meals are designed to be simple and delicious. In the evening, Mathilde and Antoine will prepare delicious home-cooked meals using local produce. Your guides will collect the picnics directly from our partner and give them to you before the activities. Everything is planned so that you can enjoy a good meal without worrying about the organisation!

What equipment is included?

For this expedition, we provide: All packraft equipment: packraft, paddle, helmet, lifejacket and bag. All climbing equipment: boots, harness, helmet. All canyoning/aquarando equipment: wetsuit, harness, helmet.

I don't have a car. How can I get between the gîte and the acrtivités?

Don't worry if you don't have a car! There will be participants with cars on site, and the aim is to organise everything by car pooling. This will make it easier to get between the gîte and the activities, while promoting conviviality and sharing. So you can enjoy the journey with the other participants without worrying about transport!

Are instalment payment options available?

Yes, that's right! At checkout, you can choose the Alma option to pay for your booking in 2x, 3x or 4x. All you have to do is select Alma at checkout and follow the instructions. It's simple, fast and secure.

Can I privatise this expedition for my group?

Yes, all our expeditions can be privatised for a group already formed, on the dates of your choice.

To make your request, go to the expedition that interests you and click on "Privatise the expedition". We'll take care of the rest!

What kind of people usually join Wildhartt expeditions ?

You don’t need to be a top athlete or adventure expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.


Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.


They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.


If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.

What happens if the weather is bad?

At Wildhartt, nature is our playground, rain or shine. Rain, snow or wind: our guides adapt the itinerary, activities and accommodation to guarantee you the best possible experience.
Unless safety is at stake (storm, avalanche, flood...).


In this exceptional case, we can cancel an expedition, at least one week before departure.
If this happens:

→ Or receive a full refund.
