What you will experience

Sail between the island of Lundy, the charming village of Tenby, Broadsands beach and the Blue Lagoon of Abereiddi: secluded beaches, steep cliffs, turquoise bays and colourful little ports make up your week's maritime itinerary.
Helm the yacht, take part in the manoeuvres, explore coves and paths, disembark on secret beaches, paddle a kayak depending on the weather and enjoy swimming stops in clear waters.
From the first safety briefing to the night watches, you will be accompanied by a skipper who will introduce you to the manoeuvres, involve you in the sailing choices and give you a behind-the-scenes look at life at sea.
You'll alternate nights at anchor in wild bays, a night sail under the stars, and an evening in port at Tenby to enjoy fish & chips and a maritime atmosphere.
The itinerary is shaped by the wind and your desires: everyone can suggest, participate, cook, steer or explore, to create a real crew dynamic.

    We'll meet at 3pm in Swansea harbour for your first encounter with the boat and the rest of the crew. Once on board, you'll take the time to settle in, discover the living areas and listen to the captain's safety briefing. Together, we review the week's progress and everyone's expectations, and we proceed with the refuelling to ensure we're self-sufficient.


    Depending on the energy of the group, we can either set off for a short sail to a sheltered cove, or stay in port for a quiet evening, or head for a seaside pub to enjoy the Welsh atmosphere.

With over 20 years' experience at sea, first as a cabin boy and then as a captain from the age of 18, I have more than 25,000 nautical miles under my belt! For me, sailing is a way of discovering one of the last great wildernesses, as well as discovering yourself and others. It's a discipline and a philosophy that I've already passed on to more than 600 people over the course of my life as a sailor.

What's included in the price

Included

Guiding: Throughout the week, you'll be guided by an experienced skipper.
Accommodation: You will spend 7 nights in a double cabin aboard the sailing boat Alba.
Water activities: On board, you'll have 2 inflatable kayaks, flippers and snorkels and fishing gear to enjoy during your free time.

Not included

Transport to the meeting point.
Meals: covered by a shipboard fund (approx. €150 per person, variable according to expenditure, including food, drinks, petrol and nights in port).
Everything that is not included in "what is included".

If you don't have a car, we encourage car-pooling between participants by creating a whatsapp group 15 days before departure: an opportunity to get to know each other before you even start your expedition!

  • If the minimum number of participants is reached, departure is confirmed!
  • If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we will give you a full refund.
Departure is confirmed 15 days in advance for adventures lasting more than 4 days. Departure is confirmed 7 days prior for adventures lasting less than 4 days.

Frequently asked questions

Are children allowed?

Yes, of course, children are admitted as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

What about shopping and meals on the yacht?

Most of the time, we cook on board, in pairs, alternating between cooking and washing up. On some evenings, depending on what we feel like doing and the weather, we dine ashore. Before we set sail, we exchange ideas on the WhatsApp group to define the meals and take into account any allergies or preferences. The shopping is done collectively on the first day, with the possibility of buying back a few products during stopovers. Remember to bring a large canvas bag to avoid using plastic bags on land!

How comfortable is the yacht?

The Alba is a 13-metre sailing yacht built in 2004. There are 4 cabins, including 3 double cabins, 1 cabin with 1 bunk bed (reserved for the skipper), 1 bathroom and 1 toilet.

How comfortable are the yacht's cabins?

The cabins are double cabins, for 2 people. At your request, we can put a partition between the two mattresses (an anti-roll canvas).

Are there nights at the port?

Often, we only spend one or two nights in port, with the rest of the time spent at anchor, on our own. Depending on the wishes of the crew, we can of course adapt the number of nights spent in port or at anchor.

Are instalment payment options available?

Yes, that's right! At checkout, you can choose the Alma option to pay for your booking in 2x, 3x or 4x. All you have to do is select Alma at checkout and follow the instructions. It's simple, fast and secure.

Can I privatise this expedition for my group?

Yes, all our expeditions can be privatised for a group already formed, on the dates of your choice.

To make your request, go to the expedition that interests you and click on "Privatise the expedition". We'll take care of the rest!

What happens if the weather is bad?

At Wildhartt, nature is our playground, rain or shine. Rain, snow or wind: our guides adapt the itinerary, activities and accommodation to guarantee you the best possible experience.
Unless safety is at stake (storm, avalanche, flood...).


In this exceptional case, we can cancel an expedition, at least one week before departure.
If this happens:

→ Or receive a full refund.


What kind of people usually join Wildhartt expeditions ?

You don’t need to be a top athlete or adventure expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.


Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.


They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.


If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.
