We'll meet at 8.45am in front of the hostel at the foot of the Hohneck: welcome, introduction to the group and the weekend.

After this introduction to the expedition, we'll set off, snowshoes on, to walk off the beaten track: a no man's land on the great ridge of the Vosges towards Markstein, passing all the most beautiful summits in the Hautes Vosges: Rainkopf (1305m), Rothenbachkopf (1316m), Col du Herrenberg, Schweisel, Col du Hanenbrunnen and Breitfirst (1279m).

Afterwards, we'll head back down to the refuge to settle in, have a good meal and spend the evening together by the fire.
DAY 2 / 2

After a hearty breakfast, we'll head back towards the ridges of the snow-capped Vosges mountains. We'll return to our starting point via a quiet, secluded route sheltered from the wind.

Finally, at around 4.45pm, we'll finish the expedition where we started: at the hostel at the foot of the Hohneck.

If this happens:
→ You can postpone your adventure at no cost,
→ Or receive a full refund.

What kind of people usually join Wildhartt expeditions ?

You don’t need to be a top athlete or mountain expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.

Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.

They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.

If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.
