Draw your lines in the Reinfjord, a majestic fjord with varied slopes, before being picked up by boat directly at the foot of the valley.
Sail to Jøkelfjord, one of the few fjords in Europe where a glacier - the Øksfjordjøkelen - flows directly into the sea.
Experience the unique contrast of a day on skis followed by a steamy sauna in a small Nordic fishing village.
Ski Arnøya, Norway's 15ᵉ largest island, with descents from Arnøyhøgda (1,170 m) that literally plunge down to the sea.
Cross the island of Kågen and discover its spectacular descents, the jewel in the crown of Troms County.

    Arrive in Tromsø, often referred to as the "Gateway to the Arctic", in the early afternoon. This dynamic town is renowned for its aurora borealis observatory and for being the departure point for numerous expeditions. After a presentation of the programme and the crew, we weigh anchor to sail through the fjords towards our first skiing or snowboarding destination. First views of the majestic Nordic landscapes before enjoying dinner on board.

Hi, I'm August, and I've been guiding in the far north of Norway for over 8 years. Skiing in front of the sea, under the northern lights, or simply enjoying nature, that's what makes me tick. Guiding is above all about sharing my passion and helping you discover places that are close to my heart, in a safe environment. Experiencing exceptional moments in the great outdoors is my raison d'être, and that's what I promise you when I accompany you.

⚠️ For this expedition, August may be replaced by another equally experienced guide, depending on availability. All our guides speak English, and many of them also speak French, to ensure you have an equally rewarding experience.

Supervision by an IFMGA mountain guide for 6 days of ski touring
Your skipper, present throughout the trip, will be in charge of navigation on this unique adventure.
Accommodation for 7 nights on a 47-foot sailboat with 5 cabins and 3 or 4 bathrooms with shower
Catering: breakfasts, lunches and dinners from the first evening to the evening of the eighth day
Fishing gear: try your luck at fishing at the end of the day to enhance your meals with a local touch.

What level should you expect

Level 4
You should be at least 18 years old to participate
The course requires the appropriate level to ensure group safety and a quality experience, with level verification possible by the guide. If the level is insufficient, access may be refused without alternative or refund.

  • You are capable of skiing up to 1200 m of Ascent on easy terrain in less than 4 hours, for 6 consecutive days.
  • You can ski all the black runs with ease, and you already have at least a week's freeride experience behind you.
  • You know how to manage an off-piste descent on varied slopes, adapting your route if the terrain becomes too technical.
  • You exercise regularly (at least 1x a week), so that you have the stamina to keep up the pace in the Arctic fjords.
  • You're ready to tackle several hours of outdoor effort in conditions that can be demanding (wind, snow, polar cold).
  • A little knowledge of English is a plus for communicating with the skipper and enjoying the international atmosphere on board.

Getting to Tromsø without taking a plane is a highly rewarding adventure, a journey within a journey that combines train, bus and ferry travel.

Take a train from Paris to Hamburg via Cologne.

Take a train from Hamburg to Copenhagen and continue to Stockholm by bus or train.

  • Hamburg > Copenhagen

Take the night train to Narvik, Europe's most northerly station.

What is the guide/participant ratio?

There will be a maximum of 7 participants, accompanied by an experienced skipper and an English-speaking UIAGM/IFMGA guide. This configuration is perfect for guaranteeing personalised support, optimum safety and the ability to adapt to each person's level and wishes. All in a friendly atmosphere, almost like a family. You'll feel right at home, but in the middle of a Nordic adventure!

I get seasick, is that a problem?

The waters of Lyngen, where we sail, are renowned for their exceptional calm. Thanks to these ideal conditions, seasickness is a rare occurrence on our trips. Our experienced guides, with their many years of experience, confirm that problematic cases of seasickness are extremely rare. If you are nevertheless sensitive, don't hesitate to tell us about it in advance: we'll advise you on suitable solutions to ensure you get the most out of your experience.

How can I get to Tromsø without flying?

Getting to Tromsø without flying is a rewarding adventure that combines train, bus and ferry travel. Here are the main options: Option 1: Via Norway 1. Paris to Hamburg: Take a train from Paris to Hamburg, with a connection in Cologne. 2. Hamburg to Copenhagen: Take a direct train to Copenhagen. 3. Copenhagen to Göteborg: Continue by train to Göteborg. 4. Gothenburg to Oslo: Continue to Oslo by train. 5. Oslo to Trondheim: Take a day or night train to Trondheim. 6. Trondheim to Bodø: Take a train to Bodø, the northernmost station on the Norwegian rail network. 7. Bodø to Tromsø: - Ferry: Board the Hurtigruten from Bodø to Tromsø. - Bus: Alternatively, buses run from Bodø to Tromsø via Narvik. Option 2: Via Sweden 1. Paris to Hamburg: As above. 2. Hamburg to Copenhagen: As above. 3. Copenhagen to Stockholm: Take a direct train to Stockholm. 4. Stockholm to Narvik: Take the night train to Narvik, Europe's most northerly station. 5. Narvik to Tromsø: Regular buses run between Narvik and Tromsø. Additional information: - Duration and comfort: These routes require several days' travel with connections. Scandinavian trains are generally comfortable and punctual. - Bookings: It is advisable to book in advance, especially for night trains and ferries. - Landscapes: These routes offer spectacular views of the Nordic landscapes, a unique experience for rail travel enthusiasts.

Do I need a visa to travel to Norway?

As a French, Belgian, Swiss or Luxembourg citizen, you do not need a visa to travel to Norway. You can enter and stay in Norway with a valid identity card or passport. Norway is part of the Schengen area, which allows free movement of people between member countries.

What about cabin comfort?

The Delphia 47 is superbly comfortable for this kind of trip. There are 5 cabins, with options for double rooms (double bed) or rooms with bunk beds. We also share 3 to 4 bathrooms with showers, a communal lounge and a well-equipped galley. It's cosy and friendly, perfect for adventure, while giving you some privacy in your cabin.

What ski equipment should I bring?

As soon as your registration is finalised, you'll receive a full list of what you need to bring with you. In the meantime, here's what you'll need to be ready to hit the slopes: Your touring skis with suitable bindings Skins Poles Ski touring boots avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe Helmet Technical clothing (breathable layers, waterproof jacket, ski trousers) Gloves, hat, mask or sunglasses Rucksack (30-40L) with ski rack Water bottle or thermos And of course, sun cream and lip balm to keep out the cold! Equipment and touring skis can be hired when you make your reservation.

What's the weather like in March and April in Lyngen?

Get ready for a real Nordic winter! Temperatures range from -10°C to 5°C, with snow and occasional sunshine (perfect for admiring the scenery). The climate can change quickly, so make sure you wear mountain clothing that's wind- and moisture-resistant. And don't forget, the fjords often offer milder conditions than the peaks!

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Don't panic! If your flight is delayed, let us know as soon as possible. We'll do everything we can to accommodate you as well as possible and adjust the organisation. Of course, if the delay is long, part of the programme may be slightly disrupted, but we'll always find a solution so that you get the most out of the experience.

Can I hire equipment on site?

Of course you can! You can easily hire the equipment you need directly when you book on our website. We work with the best ski rental shops in Tromsø. Your guide will collect your equipment so that it's ready when you arrive. That said, if you have your own equipment, it's always better: it will already fit you perfectly, and you'll feel more comfortable on the slopes.

What happens if I have to cancel my expedition to Lapland?

We strongly recommend that you take out individual cancellation insurance. If you wish to cancel your participation in an expedition in Lapland, simply send us an email. As soon as we receive your cancellation email, we will apply cancellation charges according to the date on which the cancellation is made: Cancellation charges: - More than 10 weeks before departure: the deposit is non-refundable. - Between 31 days and 10 weeks before departure: 75% of the total amount will be retained. - Between 0 and 30 days before departure: 100% of the total amount will be retained. That said, at Wildhartt we always do our best to find a replacement. If we are successful, we will refund the full amount.

Are instalment payment options available?

Yes, that's right! At checkout, you can choose the Alma option to pay for your booking in 2x, 3x or 4x. All you have to do is select Alma at checkout and follow the instructions. It's simple, fast and secure.

Can I privatise this expedition for my group?

Yes, all our expeditions can be privatised for a group already formed, on the dates of your choice.

To make your request, go to the expedition that interests you and click on "Privatise the expedition". We'll take care of the rest!

What happens if the weather is bad?

At Wildhartt, nature is our playground, rain or shine. Rain, snow or wind: our guides adapt the itinerary, activities and accommodation to guarantee you the best possible experience.
Unless safety is at stake (storm, avalanche, flood...).


In this exceptional case, we can cancel an expedition, at least one week before departure.
If this happens:

→ Or receive a full refund.


What kind of people usually join Wildhartt expeditions ?

You don’t need to be a top athlete or adventure expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.


Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.


They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.


If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.

What does the price of a Wildhartt adventure include?
