Trailrunning
Meeting point from 7pm at the refuge: you will have the opportunity to enjoy a first meal in the company of the guide and the other members of the group.
On this first day, we set off on a 5km Nordic walk with 250m+ of ascent to warm up in the morning.
After a light lunch back at the refuge, we set off on a 10km trail ride with 500m+ of ascent through stubble fields and forests.
We finish the day with a fun theory workshop to learn more about the best use of poles on trail outings.
After the effort, the comfort: back to the refuge at the end of the afternoon to enjoy a good champion's meal.
Today, we're off for a full day of trail walking and sporty hiking, covering a distance of 25km to discover some of the most beautiful peaks in the Vosges, including the majestic summit of the Hohneck.
It's a great opportunity to practise the optimum use of poles when out and about!
At the end of the afternoon, François will give you an update on how to eat for a successful outing.
After this wonderful day, we'll have a well-deserved Savoyard meal in the refuge.
We'll also spend the night in the refuge.
On this final day, we set off after breakfast for a 5km Nordic walk to discover the chamois.
After lunch, we finish with a 10km trail run before returning to the refuge for a final debriefing at around 4pm.
The expedition ends at 5pm.
I've been a mountain guide for around fifteen years now, and my passion for the mountains and nature in all its forms has led me to explore the Vosges massif. And of course, the idea is to be able to share with others in and around this magical environment. With a magnificent office like mine (even if the ceiling sometimes leaks 🙂 ), it would be a shame not to make the most of it!
