We'll meet at 3pm at the Villanova car park, or directly at the Mountain hut if conditions permit (we'll work this out together via the expedition's WhatsApp group), at the end of the road in Val Pellice. This will be an opportunity to get to know the team and those accompanying them before the adventure begins.
We then begin the climb to the Willy Jervis Mountain hut (1,738 m). Progress is made on foot or on snowshoes, depending on the snow conditions, along a regular forest path. The pace is leisurely, with breaks to hydrate and enjoy the alpine scenery.
In the late afternoon, we arrive at the Mountain hut: settling into our rooms and a short briefing to explain the forthcoming programme. Dinner, prepared with local produce, will be the first convivial moment to share as a group.
After a refreshing night's sleep, the day begins with an introduction to mountain safety. We'll be covering the basics: reading the snowpack, learning how to use an avalanche transceiver, and how to use a shovel and probe.
In the afternoon, we'll head off to the Pis waterfall. This will be an opportunity to discover the activity of ice climbing on top-rope installations accessible to all. Everyone will be able to practise putting their feet down, planting their ice axes and trying out some basic moves, always guided by the guides.
Return to the Mountain hut at the end of the day, followed by a moment of discussion and debriefing before lunch.
Today we're off to explore the wide open spaces of the Val Pellice. The aim is to learn about ski touring at the Col Barant, with a ski tour that winds through forests and clearings. This valley is renowned for its isolation and panoramic views of the Viso massif, the emblematic peak of the Cottian Alps.
We'll take our time to explore this wild and peaceful landscape before returning to the Mountain hut. In the evening, enjoy a shared aperitif and a hearty meal.
This morning, we set off one last time to explore the surrounding icefalls. Depending on the group's level and wishes, there are several options: the Artia d'Amunt, the Pis, the Jervis waterfall... This will be an opportunity to put into practice the techniques learnt on the previous days, with the possibility for those who are more at ease to try a first pitch 'head on', always under the careful supervision of the guiding staff.
Back to the Mountain hut for a final moment of sharing.
Today we begin an immersion into the discipline of ski touring. After a workshop to prepare and check our equipment, we're off to explore the surrounding slopes. The planned itinerary takes us to the Col de la Croix, with the possibility, conditions permitting, of climbing to Mont Paroussin (2,675 m) before descending.
This day can be the start of a mini-itinerary, with an overnight stay in a hamlet or mountain gîte (depending on weather conditions, avalanche risk and the energy of the group). The guides will adapt the route accordingly.
After a quiet night in the hamlet of l'Échalp or ristolas, we put on our skis for one last off-piste descent in the wild areas around Abriès. We then cross the Col d'Urine to return gradually to the valley of the Willy Jervis Mountain hut.
We finish with a gentle descent through the forest to the Villanova car park, where we pick up our vehicles. Arrival around 3pm and end of the expedition.
* Walking and activity times are given as a guide and may vary according to the weather, snow conditions and the pace of the group.

You don’t need to be a top athlete or mountain expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.
Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.
They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.
If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.
