Ready to step up from big hikes to real alpine terrain. Our guided mountaineering courses around Mont Blanc and across the Northern Alps are led by certified guides who coach you on crampon technique, ice axe use and moving as a rope team. Over a compact 3 to 6 day format you build skills, then apply them on safe first ascents. Expect small groups, clear instruction and overnights in welcoming mountain huts with glacier views.
The itineraries are hand picked to help you progress without rushing. In the Écrins you start on the Sélé Glacier and crown the week with Roche Faurio at 3,730 m. On the Mont Blanc side you traverse the Ruitor Glacier, then watch sunrise from a high hut at 3,357 m. In Chamonix you refine belays and moving together before your first ridge route in the Aiguilles Rouges. Prefer to blend trekking and alpinism. Spend three days touring the Aiguilles Rouges, then climb Tête Blanche. You can also take on the elegant snow traverse of the Dômes de Miage via the Conscrits Hut, or link classic stages of the Tour of Mont Blanc before the Aiguille du Tour from the Trient Plateau.
Departures run from June to September, depending on the route. You can rent technical gear through us, including helmet, harness, crampons and a straight ice axe. These guided mountaineering courses keep the pace comfortable and the coaching personal, so you gain confidence one step at a time. For consistency we use the standard French place names for peaks and glaciers.
