DAY 1 / 4
Accommodation
Sailing boat
Navigation
3h
We meet up at the port of Crouesty, in Arzon at 3 P.M., for a full briefing on the boat and the crew. Precise safety briefing, allocation of roles and equipment check before leaving the channel. As soon as we leave Quiberon Bay, we trim the sails, adjust the course and learn how to coordinate manoeuvres in a real-life situation.

The first few miles are all about understanding the boat's reactions, learning the basics of onboard communication and finding your place in the crew. As you approach Belle-Île, the cliffs of the wild coastline mark the change of scale. Depending on the conditions, we'll anchor at Le Palais or Sauzon, before debriefing on the trajectories, adjustments and collective dynamics.
DAY 2 / 4
Accommodation
Sailing boat
Navigation
6 to 10 a.m.
From Belle-Île, we're preparing for a more challenging sail out to sea. Weather analysis, map reading, defining the route and organising watches are all part of the morning's work. Once the coast fades on the horizon, everyone refines their settings, anticipates wind variations and learns to deal with the swell.

The water becomes more demanding, precision is more important and the crew becomes more autonomous. At the end of the day, we switch to night sailing with a clear rotation of watches. Helming in the dark, reading the lights, constant vigilance and managing fatigue transform the perception of the sea and strengthen cohesion.
DAY 3 / 4
Accommodation
Sailing boat
Navigation
4h
At daybreak, the boat is still underway when the watch changes over a hot coffee.

The impact of the night at sea on organisation, concentration and stamina becomes clear. Heading for Groix for more coastal sailing, where we immediately apply what we've learnt the night before.

The arrival at Port-Tudy or the anchorage at Les Sables Rouges allows time to recuperate on land, with a walk or a swim, depending on the energy of the group. The debriefing looks in detail at watch management, route choices and individual progress points.

DAY 4 / 4
Navigation
3h
We're leaving Groix for a final crossing to Quiberon Bay, in a busier area. This stage is dedicated to consolidation: precise adjustments, clean manoeuvres and anticipation of maritime traffic.

We work on priorities, crossings and active reading of the water until we approach the Crouesty channel. Everyone takes it in turns to take the helm with greater confidence, incorporating the feedback received over the previous days.

Back in port, the boat is methodically tidied up and a final debriefing is held. You leave with concrete skills, real offshore experience and a more autonomous vision of sailing.

Frequently asked questions

Is the night shift difficult or tiring?

The night shift is an exciting but accessible experience. It is guided, explained and adapted to the group. You discover a different perception of the sea, the wind and the boat, without pressure or performance. It's often the moment when everything comes together and sailing really makes sense.

Where do we sleep during our stay?

All nights are spent aboard the yacht, either at anchor in a sheltered cove or in port, depending on the itinerary and the weather. Cabins are shared, as on any sailing boat, and the boat becomes your home base for the four days.

What's life like on board?

Life on board is collective and immersive. You take part in manoeuvres, meals, boat organisation and rest periods. The days alternate between active sailing, technical training and calmer moments at anchor. The atmosphere is friendly, committed and caring, with a real crew spirit.

How are meals organised?

Meals are taken on board the boat. You will need to pay €25 per person per day. This covers food, fuel and port charges. Meals are prepared together, in a simple and convivial spirit, adapting to the rhythm of the sailing.

Who is this expedition for?

This course is for anyone who wants to take their sailing to the next level. It's ideal if you've already sailed a little, or if you're just starting out but really want to understand how a boat, a crew and committed sailing work. The aim is not to consume a cruise, but to become involved in sailing, right up to your first night watch.

Do you need to know how to sail to take part?

No, you don't need to be self-sufficient at the start. The expedition is designed to suit your level. If you're a beginner, you'll learn the basics in the first few hours. If you've already sailed, the skipper will refine your technique and take you further in terms of precision, coordination and reading the water. Everyone progresses at their own pace.

Which yacht will we be sailing on during the expedition?

The Moody 33 offers a cockpit with enough protection to share manoeuvres with the group. Inside, the space is well thought out for several people: a forward cabin, a saloon with bench seats that double as berths, two aft bench seats and a small, functional galley. Water, storage and access to the cabins are all designed to enable several people to live together without stepping on each other's toes.

Are instalment payment options available?

Yes, that's right! At checkout, you can choose the Alma option to pay for your booking in 2x, 3x or 4x. All you have to do is select Alma at checkout and follow the instructions. It's simple, fast and secure.

Can I privatise this expedition for my group?

Yes, all our expeditions can be privatised for a group already formed, on the dates of your choice.

To make your request, go to the expedition that interests you and click on "Privatise the expedition". We'll take care of the rest!

What happens if the weather is bad?

At Wildhartt, nature is our playground, rain or shine. Rain, snow or wind: our guides adapt the itinerary, activities and accommodation to guarantee you the best possible experience.
Unless safety is at stake (storm, avalanche, flood...).

In this exceptional case, we can cancel an expedition, at least one week before departure.
If this happens:
→ You can postpone your adventure at no cost,
→ Or receive a full refund.

What kind of people usually join Wildhartt expeditions ?

You don’t need to be a top athlete or adventure expert to feel at home. Most Wildhartt participants are between 25 and 60 years old, with a balanced mix of women and men.

Many join solo or in small groups of two or three. They often live in cities and are looking for a meaningful brea some time to reconnect with nature, slow down, and enjoy something real.

They usually have a regular movement practice (hiking, running, yoga...), but not with a competitive mindset. They’re in good shape, but don’t necessarily have technical skills. What brings them together is a shared desire to disconnect, observe, learn, and experience nature in a more grounded, accessible way.

If that speaks to you, you'll feel right at home. The group spirit is kind and open, and the pace adapts to everyone.

What does the price of a Wildhartt adventure include?

At Wildhartt, transparency is essential. The price of your expedition reflects a clear breakdown of costs:

  • 30% for our guides, the mainstays of every adventure.
  • 35% for accommodation and meals, essential for your comfort.
  • 10% for equipment and transport, to guarantee safety and fluidity.
  • 25% for organisation and logistics, from first contact to the end of the expedition.
  • 1% for the rewilding of Europe, a concrete commitment to give back to nature what it gives us.

Our priority: to offer you a quality experience, with complete clarity.
